Richie Cunningham kicked a 25 yard Field Goal with 19 seconds remaining in the game and cornerback Kenny Wheaton returned a fumble on the ensuing kick off 15 yards for a TouchDown.

Dallas Suffered a hard loss today against the Defending Super Bowl Champions, the Denver Broncos.Dallas played a hard game and brought the final score out to 42-23.The loss wasnt all because of the losing score, but Starting QB Troy Aikman Fractured his collarbone and will be out 4-8 weeks.
"I hate to use the word devastating, but it hurts our football team," said Cowboys coach Chan Gailey. "He is an all-time great player. We've got to go on. They're not going to cancel the games because we have an injury. Everyone else will have to go up another notch."
"I thought I could get a few more yards, but then I landed on my shoulder," said Aikman.
Stars Terrell Davis and John Elway excelled in the first half when the Denver Broncos exploded for 35 points en route to a 42-23 victory. Davis sliced through the Dallas defense for 177 of his 191 yards and 2 of his 3 touchdowns in the first half, while Elway was razor sharp, completing 11-of-13 passes for 217 yards and 2 scores.Elway also left the game in the fourth quarter with a strained right hamstring. He finished 16-of-22 for 68 yards.
Emmitt Smith had 93 yards and 20 carries and moved into eighth-place on the all-time rushing list with 11,451 yards.
The key plays were a 31-yard pass from Aikman to tight end Eric Bjornson and a 24-yard run by Sherman Williams. Smith then scored on a 4-yard run to pull the Cowboys within 21-14 less than a minute into the second quarter.
Dallas gets a 36 yard touchdown when Troy Aikman throws to Ernie Mills to tie the score at 7 in the first Quarter.
Terrel Davis gets 63 yards and scores a Touchdown putting Denver in the lead 14-7.
Dallas Stomps Giants on Monday night with a 31-7 Victory.
After a scoreless first quarter that saw the two teams combine for 6 punts, Sanders put the Cowboys on top with an electric punt return. Taking a line-drive punt from Brad Maynard at his own 41, Sanders broke to the left before doubling back towards the right sideline. Doug Coleman and Corey Widmer missed tackles before Sanders broke the play up the right hashmark for a touchdown.
The Giants, who committed 11 penalties in the contest, hurt themselves on that final drive before the half with a 19-yard pass interference penalty on Phillippi Sparks. Dallas capitalized when Richie Cunningham converted a 40-yard field goal with seven seconds left.
All was not perfect for the Cowboys though. Starting running back Emmitt Smith suffered a strained groin late in the second half and never returned. He finished with 21 yards on 7 carries. Williams paced the Cowboys on the ground with 62 yards on 20 carries.

With Oakland facing a third-and-12, George's pass was deflected by Cowboys' cornerback Kevin Smith into the hands of Jett, who raced untouched down the right sideline to give the Raiders a 10-3 lead with 1:14 left in the first half.
The Raiders increased their advantage to 13-3 on Davis' 38-yard field goal with 10:47 remaining in the fourth quarter before the Cowboys' late rally fell short.
Jason Garrett's 55-yard pass to Billy Davis set up Emmitt Smith's 1-yard TD run that brought the Cowboys within 13-10 with 5:43 to play.
The Cowboys, who managed just 76 yards in the first half, outgained Oakland, 80-1 in the third quarter and held the ball for over 12 minutes. But Dallas came up empty on two trips inside the Raiders' 20.
The Cowboys suffered only their second loss in 11 games against AFC West teams in the 1990s and fell to 62-36 overall against the AFC.
Smith was held to 59 yards on 21 attempts, while Chris Warren, who saw his first action of the season, rushed just once for four yards. Garrett, who suffered his first loss in four career starts, was 18-of-33 for 222 yards.
